Robert Johnston

Dr. Robert J. Johnston is Associate Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Associate Director of the Sea Grant College Program, University of Connecticut. He holds a BA in economics from Williams College and a Ph.D. in environmental and natural resource economics from the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Johnston serves on the Board of Directors of the Northeastern Agricultural and Resource Economics Association and the Marine Resource Economics Foundation. He has published widely on the valuation of non-market resources, the economics of land use, and the economics of coastal and marine resources. He was recently presented with the Research Excellence Award at College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Connecticut, as well as the Faculty Award of Merit in Agriculture. His recent works include an edited book on the economics of land use policy, published by RFF press.
